Born on the brink of the Quartz Revolution, you may be surprised to learn this elegant Universal Genève Uniquartz houses an electronic caliber. In the early days of electronic watches, Swiss manufacturers aimed to achieve a delicate balance between their time-tested designs and the latest technology. This Universal Genève Uniquartz is a perfect execution of a modern electronic caliber housed within a classically designed watch. The model features an interesting case shape that is a hybrid between a round and tonneau-shaped case, something you don't see too often. The stainless steel case is fitted with a beautiful textured silver dial and bezel.

Inside, you'll find Universal Genève's caliber 73 quartz movement, a collaboration between the Swiss brand and Acutron. Notably, the model boasts a quickset date function, which allows the date complication to be set independently from adjusting the time for ease of use. This example also features a non-lume dial with the day wheel in Spanish, adding to the unique character of this UG. To top it all off, we've added our Sedona strap in orange to give the watch a rich, warm presence on the wrist.

The watch is in overall excellent condition. The case remains strong with some light scratches from regular wear. The caseback retains its original finish and the case and reference numbers are still visible. There are light scratches to the rear of the lugs from strap changing. 

The dial and hands are in great condition, with a touch of very light patina across the board. The dial is overall clean with a few minor imperfections. The hands and hour markers are in good condition with light patina. 

The dial, case, crown, and movement are signed by UG. The inside caseback is marked with the additional case serial number "853104." The crystal has a few imperfections. This watch was photographed on a 175mm/6.9inch wrist.
