Why This Watch Matters
A two-tone Datejust with a champagne dial, it's just right.
The Full Story
The Datejust has remained Rolex’s mainstay model since the brand introduced it in 1945. When it comes to popularity, the two-tone Oyster case variant is at the top of the pecking order for its sleek appearance and versatility.
The patina on the gold gives it a warmer feel that can be found only in vintage pieces that have not been polished for a while. And here, the patinated gold goes amazingly well with the champagne dial, complemented by the black font, gold indexes, and strong date disc. A golden watch, in the truest sense.
We paired this example with our Holland watch strap in Azure for a bright summer look.
